Mardi Gras Fun
I found out Carnival celebration starts on January 6, the Twelfth Night (feast of Epiphany); and picks up speed until Midnight on Mardi Gras, the day before Ash Wednesday. So for fun, here is a photo for Carnival. You know you need a "pick me up" this time of year. What a fun photo session.

Merry Christmas Ed!!

Every Christmas it has been my brother Ed's job to get the family Christmas tree. One year it was late Christmas Eve before he went looking and all the tree lots were closed. So... this is the story and the joke my sister and I played on him this Christmas. It all started with a tag from last year's tree that said, "Merry Christmas from Oakland Nursery."
