6" x 6"Oil on Panel
It is a beautiful sunny October day. The temperature is perfect for plein air painting, but I went to the studio and worked on the 100. Today's offering is an apple. I think I am starting to get more color in the painting and am getting better at manipulating the paint in tight spots. Yeah!

Empire Dune
6" x 6" Oil on Panel
This is the Empire Dune at Sleeping Bear Dunes in Michigan. The original painting I did was done on site in about a 30 mile per hour wind. My big brimmed hat blew off, so I put on my baseball cap and tied in to my head with a bandana. I must have been a site! It was a beautiful day except for that wind blowing - no umbrella in use that day. I had to check my colors by holding a pizza box over my head to create some shade. There were changes I wanted to make in the painting which is the reason for the Daily Painting of Empire Dune.

SOLD
This is my first published Daily Painting, although not the first Daily Painting that I have painted. This is certainly an interesting project. The plan is to create 100 paintings by the end of February. Wish me good luck. I still have my day job.
